Engineered with innovation in mind, the Aviator 40E includes the Aura 8 Advanced Flight Control System. Now with Level Assist – the Aura 8 makes taking off and flying the airplane a breeze and allows pilots to enjoy the beauty of flight! As the pilot progresses, they can also use the 3-axis mode which enhances the pilot’s experience, while not interfering with your control. The Aviator will fly as if it were bigger, and in less wind, even though it is as agile as you want it to be.
Everyone wants more power and more flight time for their aircraft, but performance enhancements have always been limited by the power system of 3S (11.1V) and 4S (14.8V) Li-Po’s they typically use. Going back to the drawing board, the Flex Innovations Team started over with a new idea: to use a totally redesigned power system, with a small, lightweight and inexpensive 6S (22.2V) LiPo to totally revolutionize the performance. More Than Just a Gyro – A True Flight Controller
The Aura 8 AFCS (Advanced Flight Control System) is more than just a gyro—it’s a full-featured flight controller. This means that all rates, expos, mixes, and other critical settings are handled through the Aura. On our SUPER PNP Models, we take the guesswork out of setup by providing a pre-programmed Aura so you can focus on flying right out of the box. This means all rates, expos, mixes, and gyro settings are expertly tuned by the Flex Innovations Design Team. From smooth and precise handling to aggressive aerobatics, every setting is optimized to deliver the best possible flight experience. We’ve done the hard part of tuning for you!
Quickly Switch between 3-axis and 6-axis profiles with Quick-Flip Procedure!
- With the transmitter powered off,
- Connect the battery to power up the Airplane. The Blue LED will flash indicating Gyro Calibration. After it stops flashing, orient the model with a straight down nose attitude and keep it still.
- The Aura will detect this orientation and switch the profile after a few seconds.
- When the profile switches, the servos will power up and center. The elevator will then move 3 times to indicate that flight mode 1 is in 3-Axis Standard Flight mode or 6 times to indicate flight mode 1 is in 6-Axis Level Assist mode.
- Once the elevator deflections conclude, return the model to a level attitude and disconnect the battery.
- Turn ON your transmitter and connect your battery as normal. Use your flight mode switch to check the Flight Modes act as expected and go fly!
- Quick-Flip Procedure can also be used to switch back from 6-Axis Level Assist mode on flight mode 1 to 3-Axis Standard Flight mode on flight mode 1.
